They way this was used in this story is when Asaghi asked Beneatha to marry him and move to Nigeria with him and become a doctor over there. She was in her mid twenties so she didn't have to ask her parents for permission she was old enough to make her own discissions. Another way it is used in this story is when Walter wants to leave the house or just go out and see his friends he doesn't have to tell anyone where he is going like he would if he was still a child. Another way it is used in this story is when Walter wants to leave or go out and hang out with his friends he can and not tell anyone where he is going like he'd have to if he was still a child.
